  Sleepaway Camp at Camp North Star : For two unforgettable weeks, I had the opportunity to attend Camp North Star, a sleepaway camp that gave me memories I will cherish for a lifetime. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed into a friendly community where everyone was encouraged to learn, grow, and have fun. The experience taught me independence, teamwork, and confidence while allowing me to make lifelong friendships. Each morning began with a hearty breakfast followed by exciting activities. Camp North Star offered a wide variety of programs, including swimming, kayaking, archery, arts and crafts, basketball, soccer, and nature exploration. Every activity was led by enthusiastic counselors who encouraged us to try new things and do our best. Whether I was learning a new sport or creating artwork, every day brought a fresh adventure. More than just a place for fun, Camp North Star provides experiences that help children grow with confidence, independence, and resilience. Camp North Star is situated in beautiful Poland Spring, Maine, surrounded by many beautiful and natural landscapes that we get to share and enjoy with our campers. Trips are offered every session and happen on the days we are not on our normal activity schedule. Trip days are a time to relax and enjoy time with friends and bunkmates.
