Every summer, hundreds of kids pack their bags, say goodbye to their screens, and head to the heart of nature — Camp North Star, a beloved sleepaway camp where lifelong memories are made. Nestled among tall pines and shimmering lakes, Camp North Star offers the perfect blend of adventure, friendship, and personal growth.

Camp North Star is situated in beautiful Poland Spring, Maine, surrounded by many beautiful and natural landscapes that we get to share and enjoy with our campers. Trips are offered every session and happen on the days we are not on our normal activity schedule. Trip days are a time to 

relax and enjoy time with friends and bunkmates


A True Camp Experience

At Camp North Star, days begin with the sound of birds and the laughter of bunkmates getting ready for morning flag-raising. Campers live in cozy cabins alongside new friends and dedicated counselors who make everyone feel at home. The rustic charm of camp life — from campfires and s’mores to cabin clean-up competitions — helps campers build independence and teamwork skills.

Activities for Every Camper

No two days at Camp North Star are ever the same. Campers can spend their mornings kayaking across the lake, afternoons perfecting their tennis serve, and evenings performing skits at the camp talent show. The camp’s program offers something for everyone:

  • Water Sports: Swimming, canoeing, paddleboarding, and sailing.

  • Land Adventures: Archery, hiking, soccer, basketball, and ropes courses.

  • Creative Arts: Pottery, painting, theater, and music.

Each camper is encouraged to try new things, step out of their comfort zone, and discover hidden talents.
